Hold tight to your little girls – or to your credit card, at least. A two-level, 23,000-square-foot American Girl store is scheduled to open at Tysons Corner Center on June 18.
The popular retailer filled with American Girl books, dolls, and the very expensive accoutrements of said dolls is a daytrip for some parents and a nightmare for others, inspiring wide eyes, expectant pleas and wild consumerism.
Should American Girls be a little too little-girly for the adolescent set, Tysons will also open a bra store called Intimacy, a salon called Eyebrow Designer 21 and Papilio, specializing in fancy legwear.
A new restaurant will only make the marketing toward girls and young women more dismal/awesome, depending on one’s perspective: Seasons 52, also opening in June, will offer a menu offering nothing with more than 475 calories.
