Four Prince George’s County students were sent to the hospital this morning after a dog followed them onto a school bus and attacked them.
Superintendent William Hite did not have any updates on the Fort Washington Forest Elementary students’ condition at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, but said PGCPS administrators were en route to Southern Maryland Hospital.
Police officers say they got the American Bulldog off the bus and shot it to prevent further harm. The dog died.
Grief counselors have been dispatched to Fort Washington Forest, and the school is preparing a letter for parents.
