President Trump praised his chief of staff, Gen. John Kelly, on Friday, and said there is “tremendous spirit and talent” working in the White House.
“General John Kelly is doing a fantastic job as Chief of Staff. There is tremendous spirit and talent in the W.H. Don’t believe the Fake News,” Trump tweeted Friday morning.

Kelly replaced Reince Priebus as chief of staff late last month, and the former Marine Corps general has since brought order to the West Wing, according to reports.
In addition to praising Kelly, the president also touted the accomplishments of his administration so far, saying the Trump administration has done more than any before him.
“Few, if any, Administrations have done more in just 7 months than the Trump A. Bills passed, regulations killed, border, military, ISIS, SC!” Trump tweeted, ending his tweet with a reference to the Supreme Court and Justice Neil Gorsuch, who he nominated.

Though the president praised the legislation passed under his presidency, he has lamented how difficult it has been for the Senate to pass legislation because of its 60-vote threshold.
To ensure more bills are sent to his desk, the president echoed his calls for Republicans to change Senate rules so bills pass with 51 votes instead of 60.
“If Senate Republicans don’t get rid of the Filibuster Rule and go to a 51% majority, few bills will be passed. 8 Dems control the Senate!” Trump said.
