Buttigieg’s time as the transportation secretary has been overshadowed by controversy. He confronted a massive failure from Southwest Airlines over the holiday season and a derailment from a Norfolk Southern train in February that resulted in a dangerous chemical spill.
The hearing is expected to start at about 10 a.m. EDT.
