Patriots owner Robert Kraft charged with soliciting sex in Florida

Police in Jupiter, Florida announced Friday that multi-billionaire Robert Kraft, owner of this year’s Super Bowl-winning New England Patriots, was arrested for soliciting sex in Florida.

Jupiter Police Department Chief Daniel Kerr told reporters that after a month-long human trafficking investigation, the department had enough video evidence to make the arrest. Kraft is accused of soliciting women for sex inside a massage parlor in Jupiter, Fla after making two separate trips to the business.

Kraft immediately rejected the charge in a public statement.

“We categorically deny that Mr. Kraft engaged in any illegal activity. Because it is a judicial matter, we will not be commenting further,” said spokesman Aaron Salkin.

But Jupiter police said the two charges Kraft is facing are misdemeanors under Florida law.

The spa, Orchids of Asia, is one of several spas and massage parlors that were raided by authorities throughout the investigation. WFPB 25, a local ABC affiliate, reported that four women have been arrested along with several dozen men.

One report out of Florida said Kraft spent the weekend in nearby West Palm Beach attending the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Kraft, 72, is chairman of the Kraft Group, a multi-billion dollar investing and holding company that owns some of the largest brands in New England. He bought the New England Patriots in 1994 for nearly $175 million. All six of the team’s Super Bowl wins came under Kraft’s leadership.

His wife Myra Hiatt Kraft, died in 2011 of ovarian cancer. They had 4 sons together.

A registered Democrat, Kraft is friends with President Donald Trump.
