Rich, who was best known for his childhood role in the 1970s Eight is Enough television series, was found lifeless inside his home Saturday, according to reports.

“Adam did not have an ounce of ego,” Deraney added. “He was unselfish and always looked out for those he cared about, which is why many people who grew up with him feel like part of their childhood gone, and sad today. He really was America’s little brother.”
Deraney confirmed Rich “had a rare type of depression that was medication resistant.”
A cause of death has not been revealed, but law enforcement reported foul play was not involved.
Rich is remembered for being kindhearted amid having “mental health struggles.”
So sad to hear about Adam Rich dying. There was no bigger child star in his day.
Later in life, he was very open about his mental health struggles. Through it all, Adam was always such a sweet, kindhearted, guy. #RIPAdamRich
