Wersching was also well known for her roles in Runaways, Bosch, and The Rookie. She has 48 acting credits listed on IMDb. People across Hollywood took to social media to share their love for Wersching.

“I miss my silly friend who helped bring Tess to life. Annie, you left us way too soon. You will forever be part of the TLoU & Naughty Dog family!” Neil Druckmann, who created The Last of Us, tweeted. He also asked fans of the video game to consider donating to her family’s GoFundMe.

The fundraiser says “Annie” was diagnosed with cancer in summer 2020. “She’s a private person by nature, and the diagnosis made her even more so. She wanted to protect her boys. She wanted to get better so she could continue working. And honestly, she just didn’t really want to talk about it. She wanted to live her life, on her terms, and be with her family.”

Actress Dana Delany remembered Wersching as an extremely talented person.

“Just the saddest news about Annie Wersching. She was a beautiful light & a FORCE,” Delany wrote. “When we met, I thought she was a stunt woman, she was so scary good. It turned out she was just a phenomenal woman. Let’s help honor her by supporting her young family.”

Kiefer Sutherland shared touching words about Wersching after hearing the news.

“The world lost a light today,” he wrote, before tagging his costar, saying she was “one of the greatest actors I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with, and my friend. My heart breaks for her young family. May she be remembered for the beautiful person that she was.”
