Donald Trump indicted: Trump mocks Fani Willis for bond in Georgia case

Former President Donald Trump mocked Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis over her insistence on a hefty bond for him.

In a post on the social media outlet Truth Social, Trump jabbed Willis over her persistence for a $200,000 bond, joking that he might flee to Russia and stay in a suite with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“The failed District Attorney of Fulton County (Atlanta), Fani Willis, insisted on a $200,000 Bond from me,” Trump said. “I assume, therefore, that she thought I was a ‘flight’ risk — I’d fly far away, maybe to Russia, Russia, Russia, share a gold domed suite with Vladimir, never to be seen or heard from again. Would I be able to take my very ‘understated’ airplane with the gold TRUMP affixed for all to see. Probably not, I’d be much better off flying commercial — I’m sure nobody would recognize me!”

Trump has gone after his prosecutors in other legal cases. He has repeatedly gone after special counsel Jack Smith, whom he has called a “lunatic,” and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

Trump was indicted last week by a Fulton County grand jury over alleged election interference revolving around activity during the 2020 presidential election in Georgia.
