Adult film star Stormy Daniels’ lawyer said President Trump is avoiding tweeting about his client because the allegations that the two had an affair are true.
“Isn’t it interesting that we have a president that will tweet about the most mundane matters, but he won’t tweet about my client, the affair, the agreement or the $130,000 payment?” Michael Avenatti asked on “CBS This Morning” on Monday.
“You know why he won’t tweet about it?” he continued, “because it’s true. It’s 100 percent true.”

Avenatti made the rounds on news shows Monday morning after “60 minutes” aired its interview with Daniels on Sunday. Daniels claims she had an affair with Trump in the early days of his marriage to first lady Melania Trump, though the White House denies the affair happened.
Daniels said Sunday she felt compelled to speak out, despite a nondisclosure agreement that she argues is invalid, to set the record straight after the Wall Street Journal reported Trump’s longtime personal lawyer Michael Cohen paid her $130,000 to keep quiet about the alleged affair.
Daniels has argued that the nondisclosure agreement is invalid because Trump never signed it, but Cohen has accused Daniels of violating the agreement and has asked for $20 million in damages.
