MLB catcher Christian Vazquez did not have to go far after learning he was traded from the Boston Red Sox to the Houston Astros on Monday afternoon.
Vazquez was doing batting practice for the Red Sox on the field in Houston preparing for the three-game series when he apparently learned he had been traded.

When asked by reporters whether he had been traded, Vazquez said, “I think so, yeah,” appearing in disbelief.
Vazquez when asked if he was traded to Astros, “I think so, yeah.”

Vazquez was consoled by his now-former teammate Matt Barnes before walking off the field.
“It’s a business,” Vazquez remarked when asked how he felt about the trade, before being shepherded by Red Sox staff to the Houston clubhouse.

The Red Sox acquired two minor leaguers, infielder Enmanuel Valdez and outfielder Wilyer Abreu, as part of the deal.
The Red Sox will face the Astros again Tuesday night.
