Antifa march through Seattle, vandalizing property after Biden calls for unity

Video footage out of Seattle shows antifa members marching through the city’s streets after President Biden was sworn into office and called for unity.

“Seattle: #Antifa continue their march through the streets. A camera from a helicopter captures some of them trying to break inside a building,” journalist Andy Ngo tweeted, accompanied by a video of the scene.

Protests broke out in Portland and Seattle on Wednesday night, with antifa agitators seen breaking the windows of the Portland Democratic Party headquarters.

The protests occurred after Biden called for unity in his inaugural address.

“History, faith, and reason show the way, the way of unity. We can see each other not as adversaries but as neighbors. We can treat each other with dignity and respect. We can join forces, stop the shouting, and lower the temperature. For without unity, there is no peace, only bitterness and fury; no progress, only exhausting outrage; no nation, only a state of chaos,” Biden said Wednesday.

In Seattle, dozens of antifa and Black Lives Matter members marched through the streets smashing windows, starting fires, and blocking traffic. The police said a handful of arrests were made.

The destructive protests on the West Coast come after a summer of violence and protests across the country following the death of George Floyd while in police custody. Millions of dollars in damage was caused in cities such as Kenosha, Wisconsin, New York City, Seattle, and Portland.
