Boo birds: Jill Biden booed by Philadelphia Eagles fans before game against Dallas Cowboys

First lady Jill Biden was booed at Lincoln Financial Field at the end of the Philadelphia Eagles pregame Sunday.

Biden attended the Eagles game against the Dallas Cowboys as part of the National Football League’s cancer initiative, called the “Crucial Catch” campaign. She met with cancer patients, survivors, and their families before the game.

The first lady — who has called herself a “Philly girl,” having grown up in nearby Willow Grove, Pennsylvania — also led the crowd in a rendition of the Eagles fight song, “Fly Eagles Fly,” and participated in the game’s coin toss.

Biden was reportedly booed by the crowd when she appeared on the big screen.

“FLOTUS Dr. Jill Biden gets booed. Being an ‘Eagles fan’ didn’t save her,” sports commentator John McMullen tweeted.

Sports bettor PhillyGodfather said the boos came from the “stadium full of Eagles fans.”

Former NFL tight end Clay Harbor said she got it “BAD.”

One Twitter user commented that the radio broadcast did not air the song and booing: “Wow the radio [for] the Eagles game cut the booing of Jill Biden.”
