Former FBI director James Comey said Wednesday it’s terrifying for his book, A Higher Loyalty, to be published and in front of the world to read.
“Just because of all the attention to it. I don’t crave that. It’s hard for me to hide because I’m a giraffe so it’s a little freaky,” Comey explained.

Comey participated in his first media interview Sunday, just two days before the release of his book, after being fired by President Trump last year. Since then, he has been on a media blitz and is now launching his book tour.
When asked if he still had some pent up anger from being fired, Comey said he’s not bitter.
“I think it is raw in the sense that I find it really painful to relive, reading that book, doing the audiobook, left me physically drained. But I really don’t feel a sense of anger,” Comey said. “I’m very worried, actually, which is why I’m doing something I don’t love, which is talking about it, writing about it, but not anger.”
