Michael Cohen’s attorney, David Schwartz, made a bet with Megyn Kelly on NBC’s “Today” show Thursday that Cohen will get millions in damages from the ongoing lawsuit with adult film star Stormy Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford.

“There is a damages clause in that contract,” Schwartz said referring to the contract signed with Daniels requiring her to stay silent on an affair with Donald Trump in exchange for $130,000.
“A contract is a contract is a contract,” Schwartz repeated, arguing that the court will fine Daniels millions for breaching an “ironclad damages clause.”
Kelly, a former practicing attorney herself, interrupted, “If you breach a contract, you get reimbursed for the money that was owed.”
“If your damages clause is basically just a penalty to punish her if she violates it, it’s null and void,” Kelly said.
“When I’m right on this issue, what’s the bet?” Schwartz said.
“I’m going to have you back and we’re going to have a heart to heart about the love that your client feels for his boss,” Kelly responded.
“Maybe he’ll come on,” Schwartz replied.
