VIDEO: Elderly man, mad about home flooding, shoots apartment manager in both legs

A 93-year-old man was arrested after police say he got angry over water damage in his Las Vegas, Nevada, apartment and shot the apartment maintenance manager.

Graphic video from the incident shows a woman behind a desk discreetly calling 911, while an angry Robert Thomas confronts the manager. He can then be seen pulling out a gun and letting the woman leave before opening fire on the maintenance worker.

“The female caller stated that an elderly male, later identified as Robert Thomas, was armed with a firearm inside the management office and was making verbal threats,” a Las Vegas police spokesperson said at a later press conference.

Thomas shot the man with glancing bullets in each leg before the police arrived and arrested him. An officer fired one bullet at him that missed before the senior citizen dropped his gun and surrendered to police.

Thomas is charged with attempted murder. The apartment manager’s injuries were not life-threatening.
