TRUMP RANG WHITE HOUSE SUPPORT STAFFER TALKING TO JAN. 6 COMMITTEE: REPORT
The planned visit to Washington comes as Trump continues to hint at running for president again in 2024. Recent polls have him leading among the expected 2024 Republican primary field but also indicate most voters do not want the former president or his successor to make another bid for the presidency.
Trump’s return is set to come shortly after the final planned public hearing for the Jan. 6 committee. The panel has conducted seven public hearings, bringing forward several Republican officials, some of whom worked for Trump.
The former president has blasted the committee’s work and might have tried to interfere with it, according to a report on Wednesday evening.
