Word on the Street: Would you be friends with an unvaccinated person?

As vaccine mandates are imposed on major U.S. cities, will society segregate along the lines of vaccination status?

We asked people in Washington, D.C., if they would be friends with a person who chooses not to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

Many answered by saying it mattered what “reasons” the person had for not getting the vaccine, but ultimately, they would judge and distance themselves from the unvaccinated.

Others answered that they would not ostracize someone for making a private medical decision and believed that people should have the right to choose whether or not to get the vaccine.
