Actor Chris Pratt was slammed for not participating in a virtual campaign event for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden with fellow Marvel stars.
Avengers stars such as Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Don Cheadle, Scarlett Johansson, and Zoe Saldana took part in the “Voters Assemble!” fundraiser Tuesday, but Pratt, who plays Star-Lord in the Marvel Universe, was not present.
Twitter erupted over Pratt’s lack of political endorsements, prompting thousands to respond to a post showing four different actors named “Chris,” with the caption, “One has to go.”

Pratt has since been labeled as the “worst Hollywood Chris,” according to Us Weekly, with many citing his Christian faith and politics as the reason.
Chris Pratt being canceled cuz he didn’t attend a Joe Biden fundraiser with the rest of the Avengers cast – and being labeled a white supremacist Trump supporter in the process – perfectly sums up the absolute mind rotting shitshow of current American politics.

Fellow Avengers stars have defended Pratt against the Twitter attacks, most notably from Robert Downey Jr. and Ruffalo.
“What a world… The ‘sinless’ are casting stones at my brother, Chris Pratt… A real Christian who lives by principle, has never demonstrated anything but positivity and gratitude,” Downey wrote on Instagram. “AND he just married into a family [the Kennedys] that makes space for civil discourse and (just plain fact) INSISTS on service as the highest value.”
“I know him personally, and instead of casting aspersions, look at how he lives his life. He is just not overtly political as a rule,” Ruffalo said on Twitter. “This is a distraction. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize, friends. We are so close now.”
You all, @prattprattpratt is as solid a man there is. I know him personally, and instead of casting aspersions, look at how he lives his life. He is just not overtly political as a rule. This is a distraction. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize, friends. We are so close now.

“Sorry. Just finding out about this nonsense. @prattprattpratt is the best dude in the world,” Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn said. “I’ve spent hours & hours sharing my deepest truths with this man, as he has with me. Please stop assuming what he believes, politically or in any other way, because he’s a Christian.”
