WATCH: Road rage turns violent as man attacks another man with a machete

A case of road rage turned violent after a Georgia man pulled out a machete and started attacking another man at a gas station in an incident caught on tape.

“The light just turned green. The man is just honking his horn,” the victim, Joshua Evans, told WSB-TV on Monday.

Evans said the perpetrator of the attack, Dave Williams, followed him into a Texaco gas station in Cobb County after he became angry with how Evans drove.

Williams waited until Evans left the store at the gas station before an argument ensued. Evans said he punched Williams after the man charged him, which is when Williams went back to his car to get a machete.

The shocking video shows Williams running from Evans while Williams’ girlfriend tries to stop the attack.

“I hear a lady like, ‘He has a machete. He has a machete.’ So I’m trying run from him,” Evans said.

A witness on the scene said: “It didn’t look like he wanted to kill him, but it did look like he wanted to hurt him bad.”

Police arrested Williams later at a local Walmart and he has been charged with intent to murder.
