Former One America News host Liz Wheeler is releasing her video podcast on Tuesday with the goal of providing a unique conservative viewpoint in an ever-evolving media environment.
Wheeler, who hosted OAN’s Tipping Point from 2015 to September 2020, said she will offer her perspectives on a variety of topics, including the coronavirus pandemic and Big Tech, on The Liz Wheeler Show.
LIZ WHEELER ANNOUNCES NEW VIDEO PODCAST AFTER LEAVING OAN LAST YEAR
“I want to be the defining voice of reason for our generation because we’re going to be the ones who decide what the trajectory of our country is going to be,” Wheeler said in an interview with the Washington Examiner.
Wheeler’s first episode focuses on the pandemic, particularly the theory that COVID-19 could have leaked from a lab in Wuhan, China, and what has been said by U.S. government officials, particularly Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
“You’d think our politicians should answer for this, right?” Wheeler asks on her podcast. “You think somebody should answer for this because that’s your money that’s funding potentially a pandemic. The Democrats don’t want to answer any of these questions, probably because they put Dr. Fauci, who was involved in this, on a pedestal.”
Wheeler said she was raised in a conservative household but became personally invested in politics during former President Barack Obama‘s first campaign for the White House in 2008.
“I realized just what was at stake. And, you know, when he won the presidency, I thought, you know what, I love politics,” Wheeler said. “Back then, when I was, you know, 17, 18 years old, I just decided I’ve made a commitment, you know, I’m going to do what I can to fight for our country to defend the foundation that has made us great and to make sure to expose those who are trying to destroy it.”
Wheeler hopes to connect and expand her audience with her new platform.

“I think [it’s] sort of a natural progression from hosting on cable news to hosting a podcast,” Wheeler said. “It’s a more personal way to connect with my audience, which I’ve been wanting to do for a really long time, to be more personal with my viewers and my listeners.”
The Liz Wheeler Show will air three times a week in partnership with the creative company Soundfront.
