San Antonio police arrested a woman for shooting an 18-month-old child at a Halloween party.
Police took Eloisa Fraga, 33, into custody and charged her with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, per ABC News.

On Sunday, the parents brought the toddler, who was unconscious, into the hospital, stating that the cellphone the child had been holding exploded. However, medical personnel called the police after they determined the story did not match the toddler’s observed wounds, per an arrest report.
Investigative officers determined the parents and child had been at a Halloween party holding a cellphone in a stroller when witnesses said they heard a sound like a balloon popped.

The parents discovered then that the toddler had been shot in the chest, according to police. The bullet hit the cellphone and then the child. Witnesses identified Fraga from photos, per the report.
Fraga was released on Monday on a $75,000 bond and will appear in court on Dec. 14.
