President Trump charged that Democrats are supporting MS-13 gang members, even though they are “vicious killers” who need to be kicked out of the counry.
“The Democrats are sticking up for MS-13. You heard Nancy Pelosi the other day like, trying to find all sorts of reasons why they should be able to stay,” Trump told Fox News in an interview that aired Thursday. “These are stone cold killers, vicious killers.”
Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., defended MS-13 gang members last week by saying Americans must “respect the dignity and worth of every person.”
In a roundtable on immigration this week, Trump argued that MS-13 gang members are “animals,” which led some to say he was calling all immigrants “animals.”
Trump stopped short of calling them “animals” in his Fox interview, but did say they need to be removed.
“These are vicious killers and they shouldn’t be allowed into the country,” he said. “The laws are horrible. We’re bringing them out by the thousands, as you know.”
