Republican Arizona Rep. Paul Gosar held nothing back in a Twitter spat with former Democratic California Rep. Katie Hill.
On Wednesday, Gosar’s Twitter feed went viral when he used the first letter of every tweet about the impeachment hearing to spell out “EPSTEIN DIDN’T KILL HIMSELF.” He followed up his Epstein thread with a similar joke about Area 51.
Hill didn’t find Gosar’s tweets funny. She took to Twitter to condemn Gosar for “tweeting out real conspiracy theories.”
No like this actually happened. Real members of Congress tweeting out real conspiracy theories. In an acrostic no less. https://t.co/yVVULw6PQb

Gosar responded to Hill’s criticism by pointing to the sex scandals that resulted in Hill’s departure from office. He claimed the member of Congress who had more shocking behavior was Hill, whose behavior landed the word “throuple” into national headlines after she admitted to having a three-person relationship with her husband and a campaign staffer.
He also questioned a tattoo that was spotted in a nude photograph of Hill that showed her holding a bong during a vacation with the campaign staffer with whom she was having the affair.
You’re surprised by me? You single handedly taught an entire country a new word. #throuple And wth is up with that tattoo? Relax. https://t.co/76KHxqudiV

Hill responded by claiming Gosar was “behind the times” because the word “throuple” has been around for a while. She also said it “disturbs the hell out of” her that Gosar saw her nude photographs, including the tattoo he referenced in his tweet.
Gee Doc, I am sorry you’re behind the times. @sho_shameless taught the country that word way back in season 7. And please don’t talk to me about a tattoo… because you just admitted you clicked to see my nudes and that disturbs the hell out of me. https://t.co/UyjSvFGwRX

Hill resigned from her congressional seat a few weeks after the nude photographs surfaced, confirming her affair with her campaign staffer. She denied having another affair with her legislative director, which would have violated House ethics rules. She resigned before the House Ethics Committee concluded its investigation into her affairs.
