During his stand-up comedy show at the Wilbur Theater in Boston, Chris Rock did not work Will Smith slapping him at the Oscars into his routine, leaving fans with mixed reactions.
Sales for the “Chris Rock Ego Death World Tour 2022” skyrocketed since Sunday night’s altercation in which Smith walked to the stage, slapped Rock, and yelled, “Keep my wife’s name out of your f***ing mouth.” Rock had made a joke about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, sporting a bald head caused by alopecia, a condition that causes hair loss, prompting Smith’s behavior.
“I want my money back. I didn’t pay $400 to see nothing,” one fan told Fox News Digital after leaving the sold-out show.
Another fan admitted he enjoyed the show despite Rock not incorporating the Oscars slap into the routine: “We didn’t come here just for that.”

The comedy show was Rock’s first public appearance since the slap. During the show he revealed that he had not prepared material about the incident, adding that he would talk about what happened at some point in the future.

“I’m still kind of processing what happened,” Rock told the audience. “So, at some point, I’ll talk about that s***. And it will be serious and funny.”
