Two people were killed and another four were injured in a shooting at a nightclub in Gary, Indiana, early Sunday morning.
Police responded to Playo’s Nightclub after receiving reports of about 30 to 50 gunshots being fired in the area and people screaming in response, according to officials. Officers found 34-year-old Jonte Dorsey unresponsive near the door of the club and transferred him to a local hospital for treatment. He was later pronounced dead.

Police also found 26-year-old Jah’Nice Quinn unresponsive on the floor of the club and transported her to a hospital, where she later died.
A third person was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition, according to police. Three other people who were shot appear to have non-life-threatening injuries.

It’s not clear whether police have identified a suspect, and no arrests have been made. The city’s homicide unit is investigating the incident and has not determined a motive.
