The Navy SEAL who claims to have shot and killed Osama bin Laden asked what Tehran and Hiroshima have in common hours after Iran fired dozens of ballistic missiles at two military bases housing American forces in Iraq.
“Wanna know what Tehran and Hiroshima have in common?” tweeted Robert J. O’Neill late Tuesday night. “Nothing yet.”

On Aug. 6, 1945, the United States dropped an atomic bomb nicknamed “Little Boy” on the Japanese city of Hiroshima, instantly killing an estimated 100,000 people.
Although President Trump warned Iran that he had 52 targets ready to attack if the regime chose to retaliate for the killing of Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani via U.S. airstrike, the president tweeted that “all is well” in the aftermath of the Iranian strikes.
It’s unclear what the president’s next move will be as the nation awaits a statement from him on Wednesday. In addition to threatening 52 Iranian sites, Trump has also promised “major retaliation” if Iran strikes any American targets, possibly “in a disproportionate manner.”
As tensions between the U.S. and Iran have escalated in recent weeks, O’Neill, 43, dared Iran to “attack one of our destroyers” days after Iranian-backed militants surrounded the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad. He also suggested the U.S. military “hit this ant with a sledgehammer.”
