John McCain spoke at VMI this morning. The full text of his speech is available here. It’s pretty good stuff…like the editors at the Wall Street Journal wrote today, “On Iraq, It’s McCain’s Finest Hour.” He hits the Democrats hard: “In Washington, where political calculation seems to trump all other considerations, Democrats in Congress and their leading candidates for President, heedless of the terrible consequences of our failure, unanimously confirmed our new commander, and then insisted he be prevented from taking the action he believes necessary to safeguard our country’s interests.” But, the most moving bit of the speech is surely it’s conclusion:
