Former President Donald Trump bragged to his associates about knowledge of French President Emmanuel Macron’s “naughty” private life, according to a new report.
A document seized in the FBI’s Mar-a-Lago raid titled “Info re: President of France” triggered a “trans-Atlantic freakout” in Paris and Washington, the report from Rolling Stone claimed, citing two anonymous sources familiar with the situation. Though it is unknown what the details entailed and whether it included details of Macron’s private life, the document has U.S. and French intelligence agencies scrambling to see whether there has been a security breach, the report said.

“We won’t comment on the judicial proceedings in a foreign country — in this case the United States,” an Elysee official told the outlet.
Trump repeatedly bragged to his friends and associated that he has secret knowledge of Macron’s “naughty” private life that not “very many people know” about, the report added.
Trump and Macron’s relationship was dynamic across the former’s presidency, with early signs of a warm friendship that deteriorated over time due to disagreements over NATO and other foreign policy matters. In a meeting with President Joe Biden last year, the French president seemed to take a thinly veiled jab at Trump, telling reporters that he “definitely” believes “America is back.”

Despite Trump initially saying the two had a “great relationship” and even that the French president is “perfect,” he has since said Macron’s criticism of the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Syria was “very, very nasty” and “insulting,” according to Newsweek. Former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham claimed Trump had a very negative view of Macron by the end of his presidency, describing his counterpart as a “wuss guy.”
