Biden says it will be a ‘difficult two years’ if Democrats lose Congress

President Joe Biden is bracing himself for tough election outcomes in November.

During a Democratic National Committee reception in Boston on Monday, Biden said it will be a “difficult two years” if Democrats lose Congress after the midterm elections.

“If we lose the House and we lose the Senate, it’s going to be a really difficult two years,” Biden reportedly told a crowd of about 30 donors and guests in attendance. “I’ll be spending more time with the veto pen than getting anything done.”

Political organization Occupy Democrats took to Twitter to encourage voters to “vote blue to help Biden.”

One Twitter user replied, however, that people “should be more concerned about what the Republicans will get done” should they win.

Biden also continued his attack on “MAGA Republicans,” questioning conservative platforms while touting his own achievements.

The president’s speech comes as a new analysis is suggesting that polls showing the Democrats’ possible success in November could be misleading.
