MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski on Monday cheered a new NBC interview with former President Bill Clinton for finally pressuring him to answer for his affair with Monica Lewinsky, after Hillary Clinton was able to dodge the issue during her presidential campaign.
“I just saw the interview that I’ve always wanted to see with Bill Clinton,” Brzezinski said after a part of the NBC interview aired. “This interview, I think, we’ve been waiting decades for.”

She said the interview finally address Clinton’s “abuse of power,” and put the Clintons on the spot about the #MeToo movement after Hillary Clinton was able to run for the White House in 2016 “and not facing what happened.”
“And the continued abuse that happened under him, and the example he set for America’s children about what ‘is’ is,” she said.
Clinton struck a defensive tone in his interview as he said he apologized to the world about his affair, but said he didn’t owe Lewinsky a private apology.
He also said he defended the Constitution during his impeachment, and said he supports the #MeToo movement even though he doesn’t agree with “everything” about it.
