Trump: Foreign leaders are easier to deal with than Congress

Talking with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, President Trump said he finds it easier to deal with foreign leaders than with Congress. Trump used the major ongoing issues at the U.S.-Mexico border as an example.

“The hardest is usually Congress. I find Congress more difficult frankly than many foreign leaders. There are so many things — like the border. The border should be done, George. The border, the Democrats should come in, in 15 minutes to an hour we could have it all solved, it’s so simple,” Trump said.

Trump has made multiple headlines from his interview with ABC.

While he was answering about his finical statements and whether he was going to release them to Congress, Trump kicked Mick Mulvaney, his acting chief of staff, out of the Oval Office for coughing in the middle of his answer.

Trump also said he would be willing to listen to foreign powers if they said they had information on his political opponents and may not contact the FBI about it. Trump later said he would still listen and contact federal authorities.
