Music producer Flow La Movie among nine killed in Florida-bound plane crash

An airplane carrying music producer Flow La Movie crashed shortly after takeoff in the Dominican Republic on Wednesday, killing him and eight others on board.

Flow La Movie, whose real name is Jose Angel Hernandez, was on the plane with six relatives when the plane took off from El Higuero airport. The plane then tried to land at Las Americas International Airport soon after, crashing in the process, according to the New York Post.

Hernandez was traveling to Florida with six relatives, including his partner, Debbie Von Marie Jimenez Garcia, and their 4-year-old son. The other relatives traveling with them included Keilyan Hernandez, Yeilianys Jeishlimar Melendez Jimenez, and Jesiel Yabdiel Silva, the outlet reported.

The two dead crew members were Luis Alberto Eljuri and Victor Emilio Herrera. It is unclear what caused the plane to land right after takeoff, according to the outlet.

Hernandez was known for his production of Urban Latin songs such as “Te Boté.” He also produced “La Jeepeta” by Nio Garcia, Brray, and Juanka and “Wow Remix,” which featured artists Bryant Myers, Arcangel, Nicky Jam, El Alfa, and Darell, the outlet reported.
