Meghan McCain has given birth to her first child.
ABC’s The View announced on Monday that McCain and her husband Ben Domenech, the publisher of the Federalist, welcomed their daughter Liberty Sage McCain Domenech.
“Congratulations Meghan and Ben!” the show wrote in a tweet.
McCain is a co-host on The View and is the daughter of the late Sen. John McCain and Cindy McCain.

McCain and Domenech married in Nov. 2017 and announced their pregnancy earlier this spring. “My husband Ben and I have been blessed to find out I’m pregnant,” McCain wrote in a post on Instagram on March 22. “Although this isn’t how I expected to announce my pregnancy, both we and our families are excited to share the news with you all.”
McCain declined to share pictures of her “baby bump” because of nasty criticism she’s received on “an almost constant/daily basis.”
“Normally I just let it go because it comes with the territory of being an outspoken conservative woman on TV — but I’ve felt intensely protective and private over this time in my life and the privacy of my child,” she wrote in a social media post.
Both McCain and her daughter Liberty are reportedly healthy and happy.
