A protester was removed from Sean Spicer’s book signing at a Barnes & Noble in New York on Wednesday after he interrupted the event, telling the former White House press secretary he was a “garbage human.”
“Hey Sean, you’re a real piece of garbage and I hope you look around and you see all these empty seats,” a man in the audience yelled. “And you realize in even New York City people will not come and pay money to hear you speak.”
“It’s a garbage book and you’re a garbage person,” he yelled as he was escorted out.
“Get the fuck out, asshole,” another event attendee yelled back at the protester.

Video of the protester was obtained by ThinkProgress editor Aaron Rupar and shared on Twitter.
The Briefing, Spicer’s memoir about his time in the White House, was released Tuesday. It has not been received warmly in book reviews, in which he is accused of “gaslighting Americans.”
