James Comey gets his own CNN town hall on April 25

Former FBI Director James Comey will take part in a CNN town hall moderated by host Anderson Cooper on April 25.

The network announced Wednesday morning Comey would take part in the discussion, which will be a little more than a week after his book is released on April 17. The event will take place at 8 p.m. on April 25.

Comey served as FBI director under President Obama and in the first months of President Trump’s administration. Trump fired Comey, ostensibly for his handling of the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email server, but later reports indicate he was frustrated with Comey’s FBI investigating possible collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government in the 2016 election.

Comey will be interviewed by CNN anchor Jake Tapper on April 19.
