Get the duck boats ready.

Boston is the greatest sports town in America, a study found.

With 38 championships across the four major sports leagues and a dedicated following, Boston was determined to be the best sports city from a fan’s perspective, according to a study from WalletHub released Wednesday.

Of the 392 cities under consideration, Boston was No. 1, followed by Los Angeles, New York, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia, respectively, the study showed.

The study determined the results by using 50 metrics covering America’s top five sports, including a performance by the cities’ college and professional teams, fan engagement, and ticket prices.

Boston finished as follows:

  • Hockey: first
  • Basketball: second
  • Football: third
  • Baseball: fifth
  • Soccer: twenty-first

As the saying goes, hockey is in Boston’s blood.
