Beto O’Rourke drops F-bomb in concession speech

Texas Democratic Rep. Beto O’Rourke dropped the F-bomb while addressing supporters during his concession speech Tuesday night after failing to unseat Republican Sen. Ted Cruz.

“I am so fucking proud of you,” O’Rourke told the El Paso crowd, which cheered.

Despite record-breaking fundraising, massive rallies, and a broader appeal to the nationwide Democratic cause, O’Rourke failed to overcome Cruz’s support in deep-red Texas.

Cruz, who earned himself a second term in the upper chamber, enjoyed a nearly 3-point lead over O’Rourke with 92 percent of precincts reporting. “Thank you, Texas! Now let’s get back to work to defend jobs, freedom, and security for Texas and America!” he said in a tweet.

In a speech in which he spoke about unity, O’Rourke also suggested there may be another political run in his future, even if it’s not for the White House in 2020.

“We will see you down the road,” he said, according to Newsweek.
