Hillary Clinton for Canadian Parliament?
The former secretary of state joked about standing for Parliament in the U.S.’s neighbor to the north while dodging a question about running for president again in 2020.
“Actually, Frank,” Clinton told Frank McKenna, the former Canadian ambassador to the U.S., at an event in Toronto on Tuesday. “I am thinking about standing for Parliament here in Canada.”
Clinton made the quip alongside her husband, former President Bill Clinton, according to CNN. The event in which they appeared was the first in a new paid speaking tour for the pair.
While Clinton didn’t take the bait on the 2020 question this time around, she has hinted in recent months that she may be thinking about a third campaign.
