Rob Reiner says Trump is encouraging white supremacists ‘to kill Black people’

Actor and director Rob Reiner launched another attack on President Trump this week.

“Because the President is a Racist, White Supremacists are encouraged to kill Black people,” Reiner tweeted Wednesday evening. “Because the President is Incompetent 180,000 Americans are dead,” he wrote, referring to the coronavirus.

It is unclear who Reiner was referring to, but the comments come after the shooting of Jacob Blake by police officers in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Blake was reportedly left paralyzed from the waist down after officers shot him multiple times during an arrest after he reached into his SUV.

The comments come amid the Republican National Convention, in which conservatives lauded Trump’s “law and order” approach to riots in the country this summer.

“Last week, Joe Biden didn’t say one word about the violence and chaos engulfing cities across this country, ” Vice President Mike Pence said Wednesday evening, referring to Biden’s remarks at the DNC last week. “Let me be clear: The violence must stop whether in Minneapolis, Portland, or Kenosha.”

Reiner has been an outspoken critic of Trump throughout his time in the White House, tweeting on Monday that Trump promotes white supremacy.

“The GOP has finalized its 2020 platform: Allow Donald Trump to continue to promote White Supremacy, reject Science, cozy up to Dictators, commit Federal Crimes and let Americans die. Oh, and yes continue to be a f—— Sociopathic Ignoramus,” Reiner tweeted.
