Trump pardons ex-husband of Fox’s Jeanine Pirro in final moments of presidency

President Trump issued a pardon to Albert J. Pirro, the ex-husband of Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro, in the final moments of his administration.

“Today, President Donald J. Trump granted a full pardon to Albert J. Pirro, Jr.,” White House spokesman Judd Deere told the pool reporter on Wednesday.

Pirro was convicted in 2000 of conspiracy and tax evasion. He was sentenced to 29 months in federal prison.

The last-minute pardon came hours after the White House announced dozens of pardons and sentence commutations overnight.

Trump issued 73 pardons and commuted the federal sentences of 70 other people, including former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, rappers Lil Wayne and Kodak Black, and former Republican National Committee Deputy Finance Chairman Elliott Broidy.

The announcement about the Pirro pardon came after the ceremony began for the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.
