The woman who allegedly mowed down a New York City police officer with her car appeared to chug shots of liquor while cursing law enforcement during a nearly two-hour Facebook livestream just before the hit-and-run occurred.
Jessica Beauvais, 32, discussed the criminal trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, denouncing police and the justice system in a recording for her podcast Face the Reality on Monday, hours before the death of 43-year-old Anastasios Tsakos in Queens.
In the video, Beauvais played the N.W.A song “F— Tha Police” and said that “potential death” is “part of the job” for police. She also reportedly expressed support for capital punishment, called guns “pretty,” and explained her affinity for weapons.

“Maybe I’m a little Harley Quinn on the brain,” she said, referring to the comic book character. “I like weapons. I carry a knife with me everywhere I go.”
“’We can fight the police too,” Beauvais added. “If you’re going to shoot me, get it over with. What I’m saying is you’re not going to try me while I’m still breathing.”
In the Facebook video, the 32-year-old can be seeing vaping and drinking an unknown liquid from a plastic cup and red shot glass. According to the Daily Mail, she confessed to drinking vodka, wine, and smoking weed prior to the fatal incident.
Beauvais questioned the shooting death of Daunte Wright by former Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, police officer Kim Potter, who allegedly mistook her firearm for a Taser during a traffic stop on April 11.
“I know 13-year-olds from the hood that know a Taser from a gun,” she said.
Beauvais allegedly struck and killed Tsakos in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The officer was thrown into the air and landed in a nearby patch of grass, according to the Queens County district attorney’s office. She reportedly continued driving and jumped the curb with her car.
When officers surrounded her car, Beauvais attempted to flee, putting her car in reverse and ramming the police vehicle behind her twice before she was apprehended. A blood alcohol test conducted two hours after the crash showed Beauvais’s blood alcohol content to be 0.15, above the legal limit of 0.08 in New York City, the district attorney’s office said.
Tuesday afternoon, Beauvais sobbed and apologized for Tsakos’s death while in police custody, telling reporters, “I’m sorry. I’m sorry that I hit him and that he’s dead.”
