Only 24 percent of Americans believe President Trump deserves a Nobel Peace Prize while 61 percent believe that he does not deserve the award, according to a new Morning Consult Poll.
However, out of Trump voters, 50 percent believe that he deserves the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize.
House Republicans formally nominated Trump for the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize for his role in improving relations between North Korea and other countries, and South Korean President Moon Jae-in agreed that Trump deserves the prize.
The leaders of the two Koreas met last month and agreed to end the decades-long Korean War, as well as engage in discussions to work toward denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

Many Republican lawmakers have attributed the conversations between North Korean leaders Kim Jong Un and Moon to Trump’s “maximum pressure” campaign against the North.
When Americans were asked about former President Barack Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize, 39 percent say he deserved it, while 49 percent say he did not.
Obama was awarded the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to strengthen international diplomacy.
