‘I thank you’: Kimberly Klacik says rioters are ‘exposing’ incompetence of ‘horrible’ Democratic mayors

Republican congressional candidate Kimberly Klacik said that rioters were “exposing just how many horrible mayors we have around this country” and argued that it will help Republicans in upcoming elections.

“Shoutout to the rioters for exposing just how many horrible mayors we have around this country,” Klacik, a pro-Trump Republican running to represent the Baltimore district long held by the late Elijah Cummings, tweeted Thursday. “I had no idea. After this, many will not be re-elected & republican candidates will most likely have a shot in cities that have had a democratic stronghold. For that, I thank you.”

A black woman herself, Klacik has been critical of the looting and rioting that have taken place nationwide in the name of the Black Lives Matter movement. She has also criticized Democratic leaders who have allowed the riots to happen, including Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who Klacik referred to as an “idiot.”

“WARNING- This video has extreme levels of ignorance & may cause you to tweet it to @AOC showing her just how ridiculous her statement was about people committing more crime because they are hungry,” she tweeted earlier this month. The tweet was accompanied by a video of looting and was tied into a comment from Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who said that the surge in shootings in New York City were due to hungry people stealing bread.

“Interesting…#BlackLivesMatter doesn’t mean all black lives matter, just those that are taken by police,” she said in another tweet. “Also, #DefundThePolice really means reallocation of funding. In short, the brain behind BLM is an idiot & their followers are just fine w/being led by a dummy. #DonLemon

Klacik won the GOP primary in June to run in the November general election and will be facing off against Democratic Rep. Kweisi Mfume.
