Rapper Cardi B floated the idea of moving to Nigeria because President Trump is “dumb” to have increased tensions with Iran.
Last week, Trump ordered the killing of top Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani after Iran launched a series of attacks on American assets in Iraq, including the death of an American defense contractor and the storming of the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad. According to Cardi B, 27, the president’s airstrike was his “dumbest move” yet and has her wanting to leave the United States.
“Its sad this man is putting Americans live in danger,” the rapper, whose legal name is Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar, tweeted last week. “Dumbest move Trump did till date …I’m filing for my Nigerian citizenship.”

The rap superstar has been openly critical of Trump in the past and has expressed her support for 2020 Democratic primary candidate Bernie Sanders.
One of the 15,000 replies to Cardi B’s tweet about filing for Nigerian citizenship came from the chairwoman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission.
“As one in charge of the Diaspora for Ngr, We can’t wait to receive you again,” Abike Dabiri-Erewa said. “Our doors are open, sister. And you need to talk a walk through the Door of Return in Badagry . It’s an indescribable experience.”

Days after the rapper’s tweet, Iran responded to Soleimani’s death by firing over a dozen ballistic missiles at two military bases in Iraq that house American troops, but there were no U.S. casualties. The president has since said the country “appears to be backing down,” and Vice President Mike Pence later revealed Iran is directing its militias “to not move forward” with any additional attacks.
