President Trump on Tuesday called his former White House aide and “Apprentice” star Omarosa Manigault Newman a “dog” who should have been fired for recording her conversations with the president and other West Wing staffers.
“When you give a crazed, crying lowlife a break, and give her a job at the White House, I guess it just didn’t work out. Good work by General Kelly for quickly firing that dog!” Trump tweeted.

Manigault Newman has appeared on several news shows in the lead up to the release of her book, Unhinged, which hit shelves Tuesday. She has alleged that Trump is on tape using the “N-word” before he became president, but has thus far not provided proof of those conversations. Trump denied Monday on Twitter that there were tapes of him using the racial slur.
Trump and the White House have spent days fighting the claims in the book and calling her a “disgruntled” former employee.
On Sunday, Manigault Newman shared a conversation with NBC she recorded of chief of staff John Kelly firing her in the White House’s Situation Room. On Monday, NBC released another recording of Trump calling her to say he was not aware of Kelly’s decision to fire her.
“Omarosa, what’s going on?” Trump asked her. “I just saw on the news that you’re thinking about leaving? What happened?”
“Gen. Kelly came to me and said that you guys wanted me to leave,” she replied.
“Nobody even told me about it,” Trump responded. “You know, they run a big operation, but I didn’t know it … I didn’t know that. Goddamn it. I don’t love you leaving at all.”
