For decades, actress Kirstie Alley was a mainstay on the big and small screens. She got her start on television game shows as a contestant on Match Game in 1979 and Password Plus in 1980.
In an example of how life comes full circle, her final televised appearance was in April on the Fox game show The Masked Singer.

Alley, who was dressed as a pink baby mammoth, said she went on the show as a way to keep things interesting.
“About 10 years ago, I realized I always had to keep mixing my career, mixing my life up, or it was going to get really mundane. It was going to get really boring fast. So I guess I finally got up the nerve to do it.”
Alley died Monday at the age of 71. “She was surrounded by her closest family and fought with great strength, leaving us with a certainty of her never-ending joy of living and whatever adventures lie ahead. As iconic as she was on screen, she was an even more amazing mother and grandmother,” her family wrote in a statement on Alley’s social media accounts.
