President Trump responded to the impending release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report Thursday morning with a bevy of tweets calling the Russia investigation a politically motivated hit job.
“The Greatest Political Hoax of all time! Crimes were committed by Crooked, Dirty Cops and DNC/The Democrats,” Trump said in one tweet.

Trump then retweeted content from Judicial Watch, in which the conservative watchdog group’s president Tom Fitton said 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was involved in helping to spy on the Trump campaign.

Trump also retweeted a video from Judicial Watch of Fox News host Sean Hannity about a “deep state,” secret government effort to protect Clinton and undermine Trump.

The Mueller report is the culmination of an expansive investigation by Mueller.
Attorney General William Barr is scheduled to address the press at 9:30 a.m. EDT to talk about the release of the report, which will have redactions.
