President Trump complained Tuesday that the special counsel’s investigation into Russian collusion will cost $10 million, even though it has so far found no collusion between his 2016 presidential campaign and Russia.
“Can you believe that with all of the made up, unsourced stories I get from the Fake News Media, together with the $10,000,000 Russian Witch Hunt (there is no Collusion), I now have my best Poll Numbers in a year. Much of the Media may be corrupt, but the People truly get it!” Trump tweeted.

In the White House’s proposed budget for the 2019 fiscal year, the Trump administration allocated $10 million for special counsel Robert Mueller’s office, anticipating that the probe into his ties with Russia will continue to be investigated.
In December, Mueller’s office released a statement outlining the use of $7 million in taxpayer money used for the first 4 1/2 months of the investigation. That included $3.2 million for costs associated with Mueller’s team and $3.5 million by the Department of Justice and FBI in efforts of supporting that team’s investigation.
Trump says the costly Russia investigation and “Fake News Media” are detracting from the highest poll numbers he has earned since taking office.
