A 24-year-old Honduran man who posed as an unaccompanied minor to sneak across the border has been charged with stabbing to death a Florida father who took him in.
Yery Noel Medina Ulloa was arrested on Oct. 7 when police found him covered in blood after allegedly killing Francisco Javier Cuellar, 46, a father of four. A New York Post investigation discovered Ulloa had impersonated an unaccompanied minor to get past authorities.
“When he entered [the United States], he told me, ‘Mommy, I didn’t go in with my name,'” Ulloa’s mother told Univision. “‘I went in with the name of another person because right there at the shelter they helped me.'”

Ulloa was placed in a shelter under the Biden administration’s current policy. He was later given a “Notice to Appear” in court and was released.
Ulloa later moved in with Cuellar, calling the man his “uncle.”
According to the arrest warrant, Ulloa was found on Oct. 7. wandering near a lake and covered in blood, with a trail leading to Cuellar’s body in his living room. Home security footage also showed Ulloa “stabbing the victim numerous times and repeatedly hitting him with a chair.”
Ulloa also called a friend to confess his action, texting them he had “killed Uncle Francisco.”

Gov. Ron DeSantis’s office told the Post that it is investigating if Ulloa arrived in Jacksonville through one of the flights the Biden administration used to fly underage immigrants into the U.S.
Ulloa is charged with second-degree murder and is scheduled to appear before a judge on Nov. 5.
