John Boehner: American people deserve to know what Russians were up to in 2016 elections

The American people deserve to know what happened regarding Russian interference and possible collusion in the 2016 election, former House Speaker John Boehner said Friday.

“Absolutely. I think it’s really important that the American people understand, what were the Russians up to, and what were the campaigns doing talking to the Russians?” Boehner told Today.

Boehner, who was replaced by Paul Ryan in 2015, said he doesn’t talk to the Russians, and he’s even on a “no-fly list to Russia” because he claimed Russian President Vladimir Putin got tired of him calling him a thug.

“But the American people deserve to know what happened, and what didn’t happen,” Boehner said regarding Russian interference.
